Walk of Valor

Home of the Heroes and Walk of ValorPueblo is known as the “Home of Heroes” and has the distinction of having four Medal of Honor recipients, mores than any city in the country. President Dwight D. Eisenhower once remarked, “What is it in the water out there in Pueblo … all you guys turn out to be heroes.”

Arrive at the National Home of Heroes Memorial, at the Pueblo Convention Center.
Take the “Walk of Valor” along the beautiful Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo
Proceed to the Center for American Values (CAV)
Board riverboats at the CAV for a box lunch and tour of the Riverwalk or lunch on your own.
Travel to Weisbrod B24 Aircraft Museum.
Following the tour, enjoy a Q and A session with afternoon refreshments.

Tour Information and Policies

TRIP INFORMATION

  • Tour season is from May through September
  • Tours Depart from Colorado Springs or Pueblo
  • Bus capacity is from 25 to 49 passengers
  • Buses depart from your hotel as early as 8:00 a.m.
  • and return to your hotel by approximately 5:00 p.m.
  • Half-day tours are approximately four to five hours.
  • Pick up and drop-off sites can vary as specified in tour planning
  • Trips include lunch, on-board guide, tips, taxes, and fees
  • Trips provide American-West cultural experiences, breathtaking scenery, exciting and memorable activities

GROUP-TOUR RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY:

Reservations must be made no less than two months before the scheduled tour. After your reservation is complete you will receive confirmation, after which, a bus-reservation deposit is required with the balance due no less than two weeks before the tour.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS FOR INDIVIDUALS

For one-day tours, individual must cancel a reservation 14 or more days prior to the departure date to receive a refund.  Any one-day tour cancelation will be assessed a $5 per person administrative fee.

CANCELLATION DEADLINES FOR GROUP RESERVATIONS

Reservations for groups of 20 or more persons and for individuals who are members of a group reservation must be cancelled thirty days or more prior to the tour date for an 80% refund.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:

In case of severe ice and snow conditions all scheduled tours will be canceled with full refunds. Otherwise, all scheduled tours will operate rain or shine, unless the cancellation is made by the destination attraction, in which case notification will go out as soon as possible, all efforts will be made to provide an alternate destination(s) or a full refund will be issued.
